Summer Deadline: February 15
Want to fly to LA and work on a feature film? Dig into a freedom-oriented, social-issue documentary? Help produce an upcoming television comedy? Or maybe you prefer CGI, animation or video game development?
The Institute for Humane Studies Production Internship Program places individuals in all these areas at production companies during the fall, spring and summer. Interns are matched with a company based on their area of interest and level of experience. We also invite applicants to secure an internship at a studio of their choice and then apply for sponsorship through our program.
Students and recent graduates who support individual rights and who plan to use film or alternative media to advance liberty are encouraged to apply. We will consider applications from individuals of all levels of experience.
Typical Program Benefits
- $2,000 stipend for a ten-week internship
- Housing and travel reimbursements
- A weeklong, interdisciplinary summer seminar, plus travel assistance to attend the seminar (open to fall, spring, and summer interns)
- Networking opportunities
Year-Round Program
The Production Internship Program runs year-round with separate deadlines for the fall, spring, and summer internships. A typical internship is full-time and lasts ten weeks. We will consider part-time internships if you plan to attend school during your internship.
Since film industry opportunities often arise irrespective of the university calendar, you can increase your options for placement by applying as soon as you know your availability. Our online application makes applying quick and easy.
Internships are available in major media centers across the United States. We accept applications from individuals of all ages and experience levels, and from US citizens and non-US citizens with a visa status allowing US employment.
