The Institute for Humane Studies offers grants for faculty to lead student book clubs throughout the semester.
Book clubs provide an opportunity for faculty to engage with a small group of students outside the classroom and explore new ideas that students might not have discovered otherwise.
Faculty also find book clubs as an excellent way to build a strong, tight-knit intellectual community on-campus.
We look forward to seeing your application.
IHS welcomes you to suggest a book, classic or contemporary, and simply tell us how it fits with your educational goals. Below are some past book clubs IHS has supported but this list should by no means limit your suggestion.
