Summer Seminars: Exploring Classical Liberal Ideas and Challenges

The Institute for Humane Studies has gathered the brightest minds—including Friedrich Hayek, James Buchanan, and Robert Nozick—to its Summer Seminars for nearly five decades.

Join us in the summer of 2021 to hear esteemed faculty share their perspectives on the classical liberal tradition and current challenges facing liberal democracy. Summer Seminars are free to attend and open to all, and registration opens in early 2021.

“IHS Summer Seminars provide an excellent opportunity for students to deepen and broaden their understanding of classical liberal ideas,” said Francesco, a 2020 Summer Seminar alum. “One thing that becomes abundantly clear from participating in these events is that this school of thought is far from being fixed or static. Rather, it is constantly evolving and adapting to new challenges.”
