Cecilia Cervantes is the Development Strategy and Reporting Manager at IHS. In this role, she supports the advancement of student, faculty and funding programs across the organization. She is an alumna of the University of Portland and American University where she studied political science, Spanish literature and law.
Cecilia is interested in pedagogy, theology, and the advancement of peace and human dignity. She is passionate about liberal education and sees intellectual development and open inquiry as cornerstones of a civil and prosperous society. Her favorite thinkers include Alexis de Tocqueville, Augustine of Hippo, and Frederick Douglass. She a Hope Corps Leader with Catholic Charities, serving at the 801 East Emergency Men’s Shelter. This year, she is a Leonine Fellow with The Leonine Forum at Catholic Information Center in Washington, DC.
