Andrew Welch

Academic Talent Research Project Manager

Andy Welch is the Coordinator of Academic Talent Research at the Institute for Humane Studies. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, earning a BA in History. In 2015, he earned an MA in History from Central Michigan University, studying the Antebellum South. Before joining IHS full time, Andy worked for the organization as a contractor, and has held internships at the Reason Foundation, the Michigan House of Representatives, and was a 2014 Koch Summer Fellow.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys reading, camping with his wife and their dog, golfing, watching baseball, and obsessively following Michigan State football.
