Ifat Lerner is the Managing Director of Academic Talent Development at the Institute for Humane Studies, where she supports the Learn Liberty crew as they bring the ideas of liberty to millions of life-long students.
A planner by nature, an experimenter by training, and a calculated risk-taker by experience, Ifat taps her marketing and IT background to help bring great ideas to fruition. With experience from The Motley Fool and Booz Allen Hamilton, as a small business owner and as a published author, she enjoys the entrepreneurial process in any environment.
Writing under the pen name I.M. Lerner, Ifat is also the series creator and co-author of the Under the Staircase economic adventure series for kids. Combining mystery, adventure, and economics, the series brings the works of the great economists to a younger audience, introducing individual liberty and economic freedom to elementary and middle school students.
Her educational background includes a bachelor of science in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis and a master of science in information systems from Johns Hopkins University.
Ifat lives in Virginia with her husband and their two children.
