Katie joined the Institute for Humane Studies in November 2015 and focused primarily on graduate student programming. She now manages graduate student talent with the goal of connecting aspiring academics to appropriate resources and opportunities.
Katie received a BS in economics from Florida State University in 2015. During her time in college, she served as president of both the FSU College Libertarians and Economics Club. She also spent time interning for the Mercatus Center and the James Madison Institute. Before joining IHS, she was the outreach coordinator at the DeVoe L. Moore Center, a research center on the campus of FSU.
In her spare time Katie enjoys the outdoors, dogsitting, practicing ukulele, and reading about new ideas
