Kyle Hartz grew up in the great city of Rochester, New York and moved to Washington, DC to pursue political theory at American University.
Upon graduation in 2009, he began working at the Libertarian National Committee. At the LNC, oversaw the internship program and social media strategy. In 2011, he moved out of politics and into education at the Institute for Humane Studies. In his three years at IHS, Kyle designed seminar curriculum, new programs, and measurement systems.
After his first time at IHS, he spent two years serving as Network Director at Students For Liberty. In this role, he oversaw both the IT and marketing & communications teams. His day to day work included supervising and developing his team, determining new ways to leverage technology, designing the structure of the Salesforce database, and driving experiments in marketing automation.
He has now returned to IHS as the Director of PMC.
When he’s not working, Kyle enjoys rock climbing, CrossFit, reading, and paleo cooking.
