Michael Brodrick

Michael Brodrick earned his BA in philosophy at Fordham University and his PhD in philosophy at Vanderbilt University. Specializing in ethics, health care ethics and policy, social and political philosophy and American pragmatism, Brodrick taught at Vanderbilt University, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Miami University of Ohio and Arkansas Tech University. Brodrick is the author of a book on the thought of Spanish/American philosopher George Santayana and has published articles on topics ranging from religion and spirituality to the ethics of pharmaceutical regulation in the United States. Brodrick has served as Vice President of the George Santayana Society and President of the Josiah Royce Society, non-profit corporations that promote the study of their namesakes’ life and work.
