Yana Chernyak is a Manager of Donor Relations at IHS. In this role she fosters relationships with major IHS supporters on the West Coast, taking first-hand accounts of IHS program offerings and their impact to our donors. Before transitioning to the development team, Yana spent three years running IHS programs for graduate students.
From 2014 to 2017, she worked with staff across the organization on planning and hosting the Advanced Topics in Liberty conference series as well as graduate research and career development colloquia and workshops.
Before joining IHS, Yana was an alum of several IHS programs including two summer seminars and an Advanced Topics in Liberty colloquium. Yana earned a BA in political science and French with a minor in economics from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Originally from the DC area, Yana previously worked in health care consulting in downtown DC and a start-up in Bangalore, India. She was born in Russia, interned at a free-market think tank in France, and enjoys traveling, culinary adventures, and voraciously consuming literature.
