Dr. Debasish Chakraborty is currently the Assistant Dean and the Director of MBA Program at the College of Business Administration of Central Michigan University (CMU) in Mount Pleasant Michigan. He has been with CMU over 30 years. Prof. Chakraborty is a popular and passionate teacher of International Economics, Macroeconomics and Principles of Economics classes. He has published over 25 refereed journal articles in areas of capital flows, international trade, monetary economics and public policy. As a special assignment this year, Prof. Chakraborty is working on the project in “Big Data” management. His thirty years of academic career has offered him several opportunities to travel abroad and give numerous seminars in countries outside USA. Amongst his numerous teaching awards, most recent one is “Rogers MBA Excellence Award (2011)” given for Outstanding MBA Faculty Excellence demonstrated through teaching and research.
