The Institute for Humane Studies is pleased to announce this online webinar Monday, July 17 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Eastern. Join us for a conversation with Dr. Christian Bjørnskov, Professor of Economics and Business at Aarhus University and Affiliated Researcher at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics, about his research on social trust and institutions.

This webinar will focus on the importance of social trust for long-run economic growth and institutional quality. While the first studies to show a clear association between trust and development, in the long run, are now 25 years old, it remains a question if trust affects all countries and how it does so: through more productivity, more investments, better institutions?

Dr. Bjørnskov’s talk will focus on new research providing answers to these questions. IHS Community Engagement Strategist, Aaron Powell, will host the conversation, which will be followed by Q&A.
