Promoting Peace and Rebuilding after War

Overview

Connect with other scholars to share your thoughts on the role of international institutions in promoting peace and rebuilding after war. This discussion forum will commence with presentations from Dr. Luigi Zingales, who will discuss private sanctions following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and Dr. Kristian Skrede Gleditsch, who will cover how regional factors and spatial dependence pose challenges for stable peace.

Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to join breakout discussions where they can connect with other scholars working on similar issues and further hone their own ideas. Please come prepared to discuss your current research and share ideas for future academic research or public-facing work, such as op-eds. This event takes place on August 24, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, and will be hosted via Zoom.
