Populism and Democratic Norms

Overview

This research discussion will be a casual networking forum focused on gathering a community of scholars working on research broadly related to the rise of populism and its impact on democratic norms. This program will feature a research presentation from Dr. Sean Westwood, who will be discussing some of his recent work on the topic.

Following this presentation, participants will be invited to join breakout discussions where they can connect with other scholars working on similar issues. Potential topics for breakout discussion include eroding support for democratic institutions and the potential for partisan political violence.
