Policing Reform

Overview

Connect with other scholars to discuss current approaches to policing, including potential reforms to the institution and practice of policing that would focus on safeguarding the rights and freedoms of individuals instead of using punishment and incarceration as a first response. This casual networking forum will commence with a research presentation from Brandon del Pozo, assistant professor of medicine at Brown University.

Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to engage with other researchers working on similar issues and further hone their own ideas. Please come prepared to discuss your current research and share ideas for future academic research or public-facing work, such as op-eds.

This event takes place on November 8, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, and will be hosted via Zoom. If you have research interests in this area, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
