Current debates over immigration have shifted away from the potential economic effects of increased migration to the cultural and institutional impacts. In this Academic Research Symposium, there will be two online panels discussing the interplay between institutions and culture. The first panel will disentangle what cultural assimilation is and why it matters in the context of immigration. The second panel will survey current attitudes toward immigration and how best to respond to these reactions in a way that addresses the concerns of those for and against freer migration. Come join us for these important conversations on the frontlines of academic discovery!
