Overview
As national and regional economies become increasingly interdependent and reliant on global trade flows, the role of sanctions in matters of war and peace is quickly becoming more pronounced.
In the interest of promoting global peace and prosperity, the Institute for Humane Studies is convening an interdisciplinary group of scholars to explore connections between sanctions and the costs of war.
Share your expertise, discuss ideas, and tackle pressing questions with scholars attending the American Political Science Association (APSA) meeting in Los Angeles, California.
The research symposium takes place on August 30 — the day before the APSA meeting starts — beginning with registration and coffee at 1:30 PM and concluding with a networking reception from 5 to 6 PM. For your full participation, IHS will provide a stipend to offset one night of hotel accommodations.
