Christina Bambrick is the Filip Family Assistant Professor of Political Science specializing in constitutional theory. Her research and teaching interests range from American and comparative constitutionalism to republican theory and the history of political thought. Bambrick's book, Constitutionalizing the Private Sphere: A Comparative Inquiry was published by Cambridge in 2025. It examines the constitutional duties of private actors in comparative perspective, specifically in the United States, India, Germany, South Africa, and the European Union. Her other publications include "Taking Ends Seriously: Toward Better Deliberation on Rights," forthcoming in Perspectives on Politics and winner of MPSA's 2025 Best Paper by an Emerging Scholar Award; and "Meeting of the Minds: Reshaping Citizens’ Rights and Duties" published in Journal of Law and Courts and winner of the 2024 APSA Law and Courts Best Paper Award. She received her doctorate in government from the University of Texas at Austin, and taught at Clemson University before coming to Notre Dame.
