Overview
The Institute for Humane Studies is pleased to invite scholars to participate in a focused, collaborative papers workshop advancing immigration research. As research plays a growing role in reframing immigration narratives and informing policy debates, this workshop offers scholars a space to refine their ideas and receive constructive feedback on projects addressing pressing immigration issues.
We are particularly interested in research related to the effectiveness of pro-immigration narratives, the relationship between policy design and voter reactions, the role of issue salience and agenda setting, and the unintended consequences of immigration enforcement.
All participants will be expected to submit a working paper in advance of the workshop and to read and provide feedback on other participants' papers.
IHS will provide an honorarium, a travel stipend, and two nights of hotel accommodations for full participation in the workshop.
The program will begin with registration at 5:00 PM on Friday, July 10, and continue through the day on Saturday, July 11.
