Joshua Bedi began his undergraduate career with the International Business Program at Mississippi State University and received a BBA in business economics and a BA in German. During his undergraduate studies, he worked with Germany Trade and Invest in Berlin as a Service Industries Intern.

He earned his PhD at George Mason University and was a Mercatus Center Fellow. From there, he began working at Copenhagen Business School as a postdoc in entrepreneurship at the Department of Strategy and Innovation under the Mærsk McKinney Møller Chair in Entrepreneurship.

In 2024, Joshua Bedi moved on to work as an assistant professor of economics at University of Wisconsin–Superior. Besides research, he taught several economics courses, including micro- and macroeconomics, international economics, money and banking, econometrics, public finance, sports economics, and behavioral economics.

This year, Joshua Bedi has accepted a new position as an assistant professor of economics, now at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. There, he will continue to do research on immigration, entrepreneurship, and a number of other topics as well as teach micro- and macroeconomics.
