Agentic AI and the Future of News and Information
For Faculty
Agentic artificial intelligence is transforming how news and information are produced, distributed, and consumed. IHS seeks to fund research that examines these transformations with a particular eye towards emergent news institutions, journalistic innovations, and truth-seeking mechanisms in the future information ecosystem.
Although scholars from any discipline are welcome to apply, IHS seeks applications from scholars of journalism, mass media, information systems, communications, and media production. We are especially interested in proposals that bridge disciplines, build community, or demonstrate potential real-world impact. Research deliverables can include peer-reviewed publications, shareable research databases, funding pitches, and experimental platforms.
Awarded scholars may receive up to $20,000. Larger awards may be considered for exceptional projects.
Please Note: IHS grants cannot support institutional overhead or indirect costs
