Anthony Comegna

Programs Manager

Anthony Comegna is a historian, writer, and podcaster with a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in early American and Atlantic history. Before joining IHS, Anthony was the Assistant Editor for Intellectual History at and the Cato Institute, where he produced edited volumes of primary sources and classic works in liberalism and he was the writer and host of the “Liberty Chronicles” podcast. He joined the IHS in April of 2019 and was the Academic Programs Design Manager before becoming Programs Manager for internal Discussion Colloquia and Advanced Topics Seminars. His dissertation is the first and only history of the Loco-Foco movement, making him the current world’s expert (though he heartily invites anyone else to steal the title). Anthony has been a frequent guest on the Cato Daily Podcast and he often writes for Reason Magazine.
